Arnetta Randall, writer, director, producer and founder of Randall Productions, is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in creative writing. Her first short film, Kismet was accepted into Newfest: New York’s LGBT Fest and North Carolina’s Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and featured in multiple publications including Afropunk, Loud magazine and Curve magazine. Open TV, an intersectional platform for artists in Chicago producing and exhibiting indie series, has distributed two of Randall’s web series: Hook Ups and Freaky Phyllis. The latest, Freaky Phyllis premiered June 2019 on Open TV. Her writing has been featured in Black Youth Project, XO Necole, and Nia Magazine.
